Each planet has a distinct Ishtadevathaa. I am listing the same for the benefit of the group members. The native shall pray to that Ishta devathaa during the dasa of the specific planet.

1. Sun... Sathya Narayana. The reason for this God form allotted to Sun is Lord Narayana is the preserver of this creation. Without Sun light none can exist.

2. Saturn.... Kaalabhairava, one of the eleven Rudras

3. Venus... Mother forms specifically TripurSundari, Bhuvaneswari, Mahaa Kaali ad so on. 

4. Rahu... Mother Durga

5. Kethu.. Mahaa Ganapathy. 

6. Moon.... Lord Shiva

7. Mars... Karthikeya and Skanda

8. Mercury.. Maha Vishnu

9. Jupiter... Dakshinmurthy, form of Shiva and also Balasubrmania.
If one prays to the specific forms during the dasa period it does good to the native. 

The prayer shall be by taking specific mantras which has to be learnt from a knowledgeable Guru.
